You are in Live mode.
Any changes and edits will affect immediatly the live website. Click to set to drafts mode and a copy of the page will be made whereby edits can be made without affecting the live website.

There may be times when you do not wish to edit a live page as this will be a work in progess. All edits carried out to a live page are immediatly viewable on the web site when saved. You could be working on a page over time and you are unsure when the page will be ready to be published. You could set the page to in-active whilst you are working on it but then your web users will not see the page at all. Draft Mode / Live Mode works best on pages that have been added to your website that you wish to keep viewable/active to your web users but you wish to carry out behind the scenes edits until such time you wish to put live and publish.

The option of Live / Draft makes it very simple to work on a page without affecting the live copy.

When pages are added and edited they are always set in live mode. If we wish to edit a copy of the page without affecting the live copy published on the website we click the icon above on all the edit screens. A copy will then be made of the page and you will be editing the copy i.e. draft mode. The page will remain in draft mode until the draft mode button is clicked then all edits you have carried out whilst in draft mode will be copied to the live page. Unlike most buttons that can be clicked on viewing all items this button can only be clicked on the edit page.

You can preview the draft mode page by the usual method.Web users can only view live content but using this preview method you can also view your draft mode edits via the administration utility. Images in both Draft and Live mode remain the same uploading an image in Draft mode will affect the Live copy and vica versa. This tool is primarily for text changes only.
