Often the home page of a site has a slightly different layout to the main content pages. Maybe the home page has a large image gallery or the home page fills the complete screen with an animation.

if this is the case you will need to set the site to have 2 layouts. This can be set in the global setup page.

When designing the site using the responsive web builder you can easily switch between different layouts.
