Certain products can be displayed on the home page or a web page we have setup if we wish.

To do this we need to activate Home / Featured in Listings Setup.

If home / featured activated in product edit:
Click red cross to set product as featured.
Click green tick to remove from featured.

All products / listings that have the green tick as featured will be displayed on the home page.

 

The next step is to a add a dynamic placeholder such as

 

$show-A-Featured1Col[]$ on the home page this will display all products no matter which category the product is assigned to

 

Adding a placeholder such as $show-A-Featured1Col[0000004900]$ will show featured items only displayed in a unique category in this example the category ID is 4900. See categories.

 

The 1col can be changed to 2col 3col etc... and is the number of columns assigned to the display.

 

Any web page can be set as a featured page just adding the dynamic placeholder code on any web page will drive the data and layout automatically to the page.
