Certain products can be assigned a reduction based on the quantity ordered. Setup a product option based on quantity as this example then assign to a product or multiple products. You can set a discount based on a fixed unit price or unit percentage.

Setting up quantity bands allowing a bigger discount for higher quantities is a key incentive for your buys to purchase in bulk. If the criteria has been satisfied on the basket and order page the band title will be displayed to the customer plus discount applied to order.
